Desert Quest – Riyadh

This exciting two night journey will take place near Riyadh over a weekend, surrounded by vast desert landscapes and striking open horizons. The experience blends adventure, teamwork, and calm, offering a refreshing escape from city life without requiring prior outdoor experience.

The trip is designed to strengthen team bonds through engaging, well structured challenges that are both fun and accessible. While the activities are energetic and stimulating, the quiet rhythm of the desert creates balance and space to slow down. Afternoons are warm and invigorating, while nights are cold and peaceful, adding depth and contrast to the experience.

Core activities include:

• Team navigation using compass and map

• Scavenger hunts designed around collaboration and problem solving

• Guided desert hikes integrated into team challenges

Evenings are reserved for gathering around the campfire, sharing stories, and enjoying the stillness of the night under a sky filled with stars. Each morning begins with renewed energy and anticipation for the day’s adventure. Whether you are new to outdoor experiences or already enjoy exploring nature, the desert near Riyadh offers a powerful and memorable setting.

Logistics and setup

• The trip runs over a weekend and lasts two nights.

• We will meet at a designated point in Riyadh and depart together at 8:00pm on Thursday.

• Transportation, guides, and a support vehicle will be provided throughout the trip.

• Cellular signal may be spotty, encouraging a partial digital disconnect.

• Sleeping will be in tents that we provide.

All meals, drinking water, and beverages will be provided by us. Navigation tools and essential safety equipment will also be supplied. Dietary preferences or restrictions will be collected through a survey prior to the trip.

What to bring

Because desert conditions vary significantly between day and night, packing thoughtfully will ensure comfort and enjoyment.

Clothing

• Light, breathable clothing for warm afternoons

• Warm layers for cold evenings and nights, including a jacket

• Modest and culturally appropriate attire suitable for a mixed group

Footwear

• Comfortable closed toe hiking shoes with good grip

• Extra socks for comfort in sandy conditions

• Sleeping mat

• Toiletries suitable for a nature based setting
